Our daughter Lori and her family live in Tipton.  Lori is our full-time cook, housekeeper, taking care of the birds and keeping the rest of us in line.  She has been a tremendous asset to the family business.    

And we can't forget Jason, his wife Kayla and their 2 sons can be seen in the evenings and weekends helping with the hunting operation, lodging and preparing meals. ​

Troy, our oldest, is actively involved in the farming, hunting and bird operations. Troy also guides hunts, helps manage the business, and raises and trains our dogs (the hardest working members of our operation!). Troy has an Ag Business degree from Kansas State University and is married to Vanessa. They have 3 children, Zac, Logann, and Jaedyn, and lives in Tipton. Troy and Vanessa also operate The Cafe, a restaurant in Tipton.

Trevis, our second oldest son, is also involved in the hunting, farming and bird operation.  He guides, helps with the pheasants and trains our dogs.  Doing all this as well as a full time Social Studies teacher at Tipton Catholic High School.  Trevis is married to Rayna and they lives just north of the operation.

Our Story.....

Special *T* Hunting is a family owned and operated business.  Our name is based on the Tonne family name and the idea that each hunter is special to us and will be treated as one of our own.  Our family run operation is located in the scenic Blue Hills area of North Central Kansas.  We opened our farm to hunting in 2001. Our family has enjoyed creating memories and friendships with fellow hunters over the past years.

Special *T* Hunting is owned and operated by Larry and Rose Ann Tonne.  We were married in 1973 and together taught school for 35 years.  We have 4 grown children, 3 daughters-in-law, 1 son-in-law and 8 grandchildren.  We are living the dream and doing what we love.
